been dying over zara for the past 3 seasons, still trying to kill me each time they release their lookbooks and collections. They touch on all the right trends: metallics, the sculptural clean lines à la Celine mixed with the more relaxed fabrics (knits and denims). UGH! Sometimes I wished they made ugly fugly things for once. So I won't rape my credit card; my poor credit card...sigh.. I also wished my thighs were that thin so I could werq those skinnies :(

and ofcourse I die over this song. My soulmate/sorceress/ enchantress/lover whatever she is, she is THE only favorite of mine. The lengths I would go to to see her live I will not tell you...I smell Glastonbury tickets being freshly delivered to my door REAL soon. I cannot take this, her new tracks are swooon-tastic and this just about made my year (that is the amount of time it takes for me to stop listening to her songs on repeat)...yep.

so...lately I've been downloading, discovering, youtube-ing, blogging music like there's no tomorrow.
The lowdown on Marina, I've loved her ever since I heard her song Obsessions, she has amazing vocals, reminiscent of Kate Bush (whom I also love + her whimsical dance moves too) I don't think she's had a big success with her previous singles...nowadays if you want to make it big you've really just got to fit that pop mold they want to put you in. She's been feeding the wrong people, her music requires an acquired taste I think. Now she's changed her style into electronic and it is so much more her, so much more original. Obsessed with this song it's been on repeat for the past 4 hours, cannot help but have a one-person party in my bedroom when this comes on.

the last days of summer

There are 6 days left of my summer until I fly back to Paris. I have mixed feelings about going back really, I do miss my friends and can't wait to catch up but I'm not going to be seeing home for another year! It kills me when I think about it, my heart is very deeply rooted in my country. I feel very much like myself when I'm home, no place compares. The editorial has this feeling of the day fading to an end (probably because its been shot during the dusk) and a sort of solitude you feel when everyone in the room has left and you're left there alone, which is exactly how I'm feeling, holding on to the little remnants of the hot summer days and those moments spent together reunited with your close friends but it's all coming to an end. SOBS.
