love this lookbook shot in Vietnam. I always love photography that has an element of the morning mist or type of haze or fog. Vietnam is also a stunning country full of remnants of old colonialism and Chinese influences that clash to make a half-breed culture of the two best combinations of east and west. Spring is coming in Europe, the temperatures have risen and sitting on the grass in the evening with music and a little picnic after a long winter is the best feeling in the entire world.

For the love of Pamela Love
Pamela Love F/W 2012
Every season I wait for Pamela Love's new and one of a kind jewelry collections to be showcased. The pieces almost have a mystical magnetism to it, like a magical moment you get when you go to a vintage market/ flea market and find these old forgotten heirlooms. Basically, each piece looks like it has it's own history and a story to tell.( This season's story: glammed up factory girls in NYC art-deco) Not to mention the perfect mix of semi-precious stones and metals. I'm only waiting to see more!

Having an almighty crush on Balenciaga this season, saw similar nineties style cut jackets at Prada but these are just amazingly sculptural and the silk texture of the fabric adds that futuristic glow Ghesquiere is just known for. I prefer this collection so much more than the previous autumn winter one. This seems so much more feminine in the Balenciaga way, less weight more colour and wearability. Ofcourse the brave ones will brave the Darth Vader-esque sunhats, maybe they'll be useful for those summertime naps. You're guaranteed no one will disturb you.
Balmain has a new young designer. Throughout the collection it was just same old same old in my opinion. EXCEPT those cool powder blue denim skirts/shirts that have been cut into maxi skirts and military style tops, I loved that.
