The late Mr. McQueen.

u

so this collection, the 2003 fall/winter collection which had girls dramatically marching through a windy runway with snow powder flying in the air. This was when he seized my imagination whilst watching it on Fashiontv.

We lost an artist + Master. The ones who come along and alter everything we knew prior. Shame he wasn't around longer to change the world and send fashion fanatics swooning, a collection at a time. Anyways I read this post on Tavi Gevinson's blog today and i felt I had to say something about this too!  So i started a blog, yes i am now a blogger (noob) Those who are interested can read it, and those who aren't won't be disturbed. I have a lot of things to say and i'd like to share it.

Its just so beautiful, the kind of beauty that you want to preserve...you want to stare at it for hours and hours trying to wrap your head around how a person came up with such things. and Why you couldn't have thought of something similar. Looks like he travelled back in time and stole an ancient queen's garments, brought it back and put it on some models. They are simply amazing. The moment you lay your eyes on them its intimate, like when you find a beautiful family heirloom in your grandparent's chest. Or when you play in the woods when you were little and you accidentally dug up a stone with a crystalline center, or a precious rock. (peu importe) you gasp, and ooze an intrinsic glow of satisfaction and say: 'wow'   its a minute's silence of intimacy between you and your treasure...after that you just want to run back and stash your findings or share them with someone, anyone. Well that was what i felt. i'm sure you can comprehend what i'm trying to explain here. Everyone has their little treasures. This collection is just precious and the amazing thing is that he didn't discover these, he created them. sighs.
enough. i've said enough. now you take a look.
