Powerful

Can't wait to buy this issue so I can read all about this powerful voice/woman/composer. Mert & Marcus are my favourites, I discovered their editorials for Numéro (which I used to read a lot) but now they've really gotten around. No offense to US Vogue readers but I usually find the magazine a little too commercial for my taste (too bombarded with mainstream celebs and ads) but there are exceptions to this, I do buy US Vogue issues from time to time. DEFINITELY buying this issue.

Freida

I don't know about you, but there are few things I notice about the media. They're always "trying" to embrace different faces from different races. That usually includes the standard mix: Chinese, African american, caucasians. But surely, the world is not made up of the media's plastic trinity of races. If you look very closely, the faces of the world are so diverse. The media still have a somewhat warped view of beauty and I really do wish the more rare and exquisite faces of the world are being showcased more often.  To me people look different in every country. So getting to my point... I'm just glad to see the drop dead gorgeous and sensuous Indian actress Freida Pinto grace the face of Interview magazine here.

I think black and white photography and cinematography still has the capability of producing intense and even more powerful emotion than images in colour sometimes. A good black and white picture is timeless and can creates much more of a statement (also dependent on the skill of the photographer & the elements ofcourse) you know sometimes you don't always need colour for imagination.
