Chanel
This season, chanel sirens (you know, the regular models and supermodels that are ALWAYS at a chanel show) are stomping around in an Amethyst tinted planet krypton with their tdf shoes that were already amazing enough with the perspex heel and asymmetric front but Lagerfeld had to add raw CRYSTALS to the stem of the heel to make you die even more inside for being poor. (ahem, student budget, yes I hate my life? Not always)
Chanel should be an adjective. It should exist in the oxford dictionary to describe all things timeless and just TO DIE FOR. EVERY woman has unconditional love for Chanel, buy a woman's soul with a Chanel anything (bag, dress, those HEELS, necklace, BAG) she will never forget you. It could even become a currency of its own, except no sane woman would trade her hard-earned Chanel articles for anything. So here I am dying over Chanel every season because of Lagerfeld's ability to conjure out a dream of a runway show every 6 months for insatiable people who live and die together with style. I sound so dramatic right now, but I'm loving it. I know you all understand where I'm coming from, who can ever describe how Chanel makes you feel? It's just so 'Chanel', GOD if these pictures don't make you curl over, pupils dilate and mouth water with desire then I don't know what to say to you, honey.
Jil Sander
Nothing new for you to hear, you probably have heard that Raf Simons is leaving Jil Sander for Dior. A more than stunning job he did of maintaining Sander's vision of the contemporary silhouette, minimalist, radical, elegant. His last show was bittersweet; though all of that bitterness was not present in the palette of the collection. Browns and nudes to emphasize the Woman's sensuality, shades of baby pink and rose representing her tenderness. Of course always the clean hair and face and flashes of metallic and neon updating the overly feminine palette to the present. And as if, celebrating and commemorating his departure, bouquets of stunning flowers were encased in clear perspex boxes on the runway. I do think Dior is in desperate need to be rescued, and although Dior without Galliano will never ever be the same, Raf Simon's arrival signals a new hope for the house and the legend of Dior. Ah, such a beautiful spring time story. New beginnings and lightness.

holy BB
Having an almighty crush on Balenciaga this season, saw similar nineties style cut jackets at Prada but these are just amazingly sculptural and the silk texture of the fabric adds that futuristic glow Ghesquiere is just known for. I prefer this collection so much more than the previous autumn winter one. This seems so much more feminine in the Balenciaga way, less weight more colour and wearability. Ofcourse the brave ones will brave the Darth Vader-esque sunhats, maybe they'll be useful for those summertime naps. You're guaranteed no one will disturb you.
Balmain has a new young designer. Throughout the collection it was just same old same old in my opinion. EXCEPT those cool powder blue denim skirts/shirts that have been cut into maxi skirts and military style tops, I loved that.
